Quilting Course

One of the myths of quilting is that the art of quilting was developed by the pioneer women who settled on the North American territory. It is said that these women made worm blankets called quilts which were made up of left over material scraps and old clothes. They were very creative in sowing these scraps into wonderful patterns combining color and shape to make very beautiful quilts.

We would like to invite women to a quilting class where we would learn how to make quilts and enjoy working on them together.  There will be teaching and an informal friendly time to learn together this art of sewing.

• Some materials and equipment is provided but you would be welcome to bring your own material.
• Quilt projects will be provided in class but individual ideas and projects are also welcome.
• The class project of a small quilt should be finished in time for Christmas.
• A 10 lei contribution is requested for tea, coffee and cookies.
